The most popular destinations at a glance

If you are looking for an adventure, Tanzania should be at the top of your list. There is the world famous Kilimanjaro, which is the highest mountain in Africa at 5,895 meters. Every year, the massive mountain range attracts tens of thousands of adventurous people to Tanzania. Whether you want to prove your skills or prefer to take the easy path - there are many different routes that lead to Mount Kilimanjaro. You decide which suits you best. The Usambara Mountains in the northeast of the country, however, are very popular for a trekking tour. In addition, a climb and hiking in the Usambara mountains requires a low level of fitness. During your tour, you will always be accompanied by professional guides and porters who speak German or English. Usambara mountains and Kilimanjaro are best climbed in the warmest and driest months: January, February and September. Even June, July, August and October are good months for a safe ascent. Hiking paradise South Africa! The "most beautiful end of the world" invites you to a long hiking tour. Table Mountain National Park is a unique and urban conservation area that stretches from Signal Hill in the city to the dramatic Cape Point, encompassing picturesque valleys, bays and beaches, Table Mountain itself and the legendary Cape of Good Hope. He is one of the absolute top addresses for hiking. The Drakensberg should also be included in your planning. They cover the highest mountains in southern Africa. Parts of the Drakensberg are a UNESCO World Heritage Site with good reason: Impressive rock formations, forests, barren steppes and lush green bush landscapes, waterfalls and rural streams await you. The best time for hikes is in the fall, from April to May, when you expect warm, dry days and cool nights.

North America
Embark on an adventure in the rainforest of Costa Rica! The Braulio Carrillo National Park is one of the largest protected areas of the South American country with 50,000 hectares. It fascinates with mighty mountains, dense forests and many gorges through which rivers and streams pass. Over 500 species of birds, and over 150 species of mammals, including capuchin monkeys, tapirs, coatis, jaguars and raccoons, invite you to explore their home in Braulio Carrillo National Park. A special highlight is the so-called "Teleferico", a jungle cable car over the treetops. At over two and a half kilometers you will experience a spectacular view of the rainforest. The best time to explore the rainforest is in the months of December to April, as the rainfall in December clearly reduced.

South America
One thing we can say in advance: Machu Picchu is an absolutely unforgettable experience. Not for nothing it is one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu attracts millions of people to the South American country and is the most popular trekking route in Peru. The route along the trail follows the original paths that the Incas passed from the Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu. Along the way you will find a multitude of impressive Inca sites and breathtaking landscapes. It is still unclear why and why this mysterious city was built. The best travel time for a hike to Machu Picchu is between May and September, since the probability of rain is quite low. The wettest months are January and February and not ideal for trekking.
